Join us on Saturday, July 22 for some lakeside munchies at the second annual OnMilwaukee Food Truck Fest. Choose from a menu of 20 trucks and enjoy the live music, games and entertainment. It's the biggest gathering of the best food on four wheels.

You've probably heard that it's a tough game for restaurants out there right now. Staffing shortages brought on by the pandemic are impacting restaurants throughout the city, resulting in abbreviated hours, adjustments to operations and sometimes even temporary pauses in business.

The latter is true for Palomino Bar, 2491 S. Superior St., which has temporarily closed for dinner and bar service.

The bar will continue to host private events, dinner parties and whiskey socials, with hope of reopening next year for normal service.

"We're simply adjusting for the moment so we can get through the industry recovering," says founder, CEO and managing partner Valeri Lucks.

In the meantime, you should totally get tickets for their annual peach social!

Palomino Peach Social

Upcoming events at Palomino include their annual Peach Social, an all-out bash featuring peach infused dishes and beverages.

This year's social, which takes place on Wednesday, July 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. is a ticketed event with guaranteed seating. Tickets are available online for $65 per person.

The menu includes beer can chicken with peach bbq sauce, baked beans, pimento mac and cheese, peach corn bread and peach slaw with peach hand pies for dessert.

Peach-infused drinks will include a peach bourbon old fashioned, Skinny Phuzz (State Line Gin, peach purée, Top Note Bitter Lemon and mint) and Revolution’s Freedom of Speach peach session sour.

Tree Ripe Fruit Co. will be onsite selling fresh Georgia peaches for guests to take home.
